Tiger, Deer, Bear, Monkey, and Crane. These animals will visit Oriental Fitness Institute on September 25th for the Five Animal Frolics Qi Gong class taught by Jingshan Tang (pictured). An ancient Chinese exercise,Five Animal Frolics Qi Gong mimics the movements of these animals to relieve stress and strain even in the modern world. It was created by Hua Tuo, a well-known Traditional Chinese Medical Doctor in the 2nd century AD. The movements in Five Animal Frolics Qi Gong are simple to learn, and provide relief for repetitive stress syndrome, back problems, and other stress related symptoms.

Practicing  can:
1.Improve blood and Qi circulation. 
2. Develop breathing and  movement coordination.
3. Increase body and mind flexibility.
4.Cultivate awareness of Qi in and around our bodies

About Jingshan Tang: Master Jingshan Tang is President and founder of the Oriental Fitness Institute, LLC located in Philadelphia. He earned his Master’s Degree in Physical Education at An Hui Normal University, China where among the many disciplines he taught as a professor were physical education and sports history, gymnastics theory and tai chi qigong. During the 1990s, he taught Tai Chi classes at the Philadelphia Performing Arts Charter School before opening his own Oriental Fitness Institute. An accomplished author of numerous teaching and training research papers, he was a noted  speaker at the 1996 Pre Olympic Scientific Conference in Dallas, Texas, where he presented his research on the “Qi Flow Timetable," an examination of the effect “time of day” has on the practice of Tai Chi and qigong, and how best to optimize one's practice according to time. Master Tang has also been featured on the Discovery Channel, and has presented at both Princeton University and the University of Pennsylvania. In addition to offering a broad range of classes and programs at the Fitness Institute, Master Tang is active throughout the Philadelphia/New Jersey region, delivering specialized workshops and demonstrations. Master Tang is a phenomenal teacher known for his sense of humor, patience with children, and in providing the expertise for adults who are serious in expanding their skills.

 Master Tang currently emphasize on Tai Chi Therapy and have developed many special methods which can lead to successfully improve balance and knee, hips, back and neck function.
